NO inquest will be held into the death of a man whose body was discovered in a town centre house.

Detectives were called in on Monday after the 50-year-old was found by paramedics in Northgate Street, Bury St Edmunds.

The ambulance service said the body had been there for a considerable amount of time.

The death was initially treated as unexplained but a post mortem examination confirmed the man, who has not been named by police, died of natural causes.

A spokeswoman for the police said as a result no inquest would be held.
