If you are hoping for a white Christmas tomorrow you are likely to be left disappointed.

With no sign of the snow falling in Suffolk so far this month things are not about to change, according to forecasters.

Instead the weather is likely to stay similar to the rest of December.

Phil Garner from Weatherquest said the prospect of snow “looks most unlikely” on Christmas Day itself and does not seem to be on the horizon this year.

“We are looking at one or two rain showers but the predominant weather is dry and bright,” Mr Garner said.

“It’s reasonably seasonal. We’re looking at temperatures of around six degrees. It will be good weather if you have to go out and about.

“Boxing Day will start with a bit of frost on the ground. I will be a clear start with cloud coming in from the west.”

Mr Garner warned there may be some rain and strong winds coming into the region on Saturday which could stay until the following day.
