POLICE have named the 15-year-old boy who died after a crash near Great Yarmouth yesterday.

Ryan Youngman, of Middleton Road, Gorleston, was a front-seat passenger in a Ford Fiesta that smashed into a wall in Caister High Street around 12.10am.

The silver Ford Fiesta had been reported stolen in the Bradwell area two days earlier and immediately prior to the collision which took place in Caister-on-Sea, the car failed to stop for police officers who were in the area responding to reports of an aggravated burglary.

The 17-year-old driver remains in James Paget University Hospital in a serious but stable condition and an 18-year-old male, who was a rear passenger, is expected to be discharged from hospital and interviewed by police. Meanwhile a 17-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of burglary has been released on police bail until March 3.
