A 29-year-old man arrested on suspicion of wasting police time following an armed raid at a property in Norwich Road, Ipswich, has been released on police bail.
Armed officers and the force helicopter were all sent to the scene at about 8pm on Monday after concerns were raised for the welfare of a woman – the road was also cordoned off.
Seven people were initially detained at the address, including the woman, and they were taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre, where an account was given by the woman.
It was discovered no offences had been committed and all seven have now been released and will face no further police action.
The 29-year-old man, from Ipswich, was interviewed by officers at the police investigation centre, but has now been freed on bail.
