ONE lane of the A12 is closed due to an oil spillage at Stratford St Mary.
Just after 2pm today the engine of a coach broke down and caused an oil spill across the Ipswich-bound carriageway. Emergency services are on the scene to deal with the incident.
Police say traffic is still flowing as one lane is open while the clean-up operation is in progress.
At 2.20pm just a few hundreds metres south on the same carriageway a car veered off the road and landed in a ditch on its roof. The driver escaped uninjured and walked away from the scene.
An ambulance crew attended but he did not need medical assistance.
