A secondary school near Bury St Edmunds has hailed student performers following its sell-out production of Oliver!.
For the first time in Thurston Community College’s history, the show was a complete sell-out with more than 1,700 tickets sold in total over six shows last week.
Parents, governors and spectators all paid tribute to the production, which saw Lucas Seaman and William Spark share the lead role.
The Dodger was played by Finley Kenneally and Riley Stevens, Ryan Denton and Charlie Stannard starred as Fagin, and Megan Daisy-Bishop and Kitty Jones performed the role of Nancy.
Natasha Tanswell, head of performing arts at the school, said: “The students didn’t cease to amaze us, their commitment, dedication and sheer hard work allowed for each and every one of our 140 strong cast to shine, as well as our incredible student based Tech Crew behind the scenes.”
