George Osborne’s growing number of new jobs might be the talk of politics – but there’s one role he won’t be getting . . . new team boss at Norwich City!

The former Chancellor’s old sparring partner Ed Balls told us exclusively that the Tatton MP and new editor of the London Evening Standard is not in the running for the vacant team boss position at Carrow Road.

Mr Balls is heading to Bury St Edmunds for a Question and Answer session at the Apex on May 11 – and during a wide-ranging interview before the event mentioned the former Chancellor’s latest career move.

He was asked: “Have you had any offers from newspapers looking for an editor?”

He replied: “I’m afraid not. And I can exclusively reveal that George Osborne will not be the new team manager of Norwich City. I’m not sure about his defensive skills and whether he has the time for the job!”
