An accident involving a van has led to a lane closure on the eastbound A14 just after the Orwell Bridge
One lane of the eastbound A14 has been temporarily closed to traffic following a crash involving a van.
The white Ford Transit van drove into the central crash barrier at a point just after the Orwell Bridge.
The white van damaged a section of the barrier about 100 metres long and was left with extensive damage to its front end.
The van had three people inside at the time of the accident and an ambulance was called but then stood down as there were no reported injuries.
The accident happened at about 11.15pm and the lane was closed off for repairs which were due to be carried out overnight.
