TWO cars and an HGV were in collision with each other today.
At 8.30am firefighters were called by the ambulance service to the scene of the crash on A142 at Exning. A woman in her 30s had her leg trapped so fire crews from Newmarket used hydraulic cutting gear to release it.
Both she and a child were taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with injuries. The child is not thought to be badly injured but the woman suffered a cut to her head.
An air ambulance attended but the casualties were taken to hospital via the road ambulance.
