BOMB disposal experts were called in to blow up Second World War ordinance discovered on a Suffolk beach.
Coastguard from Aldeburgh and Shingle Street sealed off an area of Orfordness.
The item - believed to be a Second World War airborne weapon - was blown up by the bomb and mine disposal team around 2.15pm today.
A spokesman for Thames Coastguard said it was discovered in a “very remote location” by a walker on Wednesday.
He said the ordinance was disposed of safely by the team.
