Suffolk Coastal District Council, as a landowner and leisure provider, with coastal community team Felixstowe Forward and Visit Felixstowe invited businesses and community organisations to a event at the Orwell Hotel to learn about the proposals.

These include a new iconic leisure centre, creating a Business Improvement District, new housing and infrastructure, and future ideas for the South Seafront.

Over 140 people attended and participated in focused feedback sessions on each proposal. In the afternoon a free drop-in event saw more than 300 people view the displays and give their ideas.

Helen Greengrass, Felixstowe Forward change director, said “The feedback will be very useful in shaping proposals and helped clarify ideas. It was also good to see over 300 people turn out for the afternoon session and also give their feedback.”
