HUNDREDS of motorists were left facing lengthy delays this morning after a lorry broke down on top of the Orwell Bridge.
All drivers travelling on the westbound carriageway were left in tailbacks after the incident left one lane blocked.
Police are still on scene, managing the traffic, while recovery is also being arranged.
A police spokesman said the incident was causing problems.
Meanwhile, more delays have been caused by a collision between a lorry and a car near to the roundabout on Nacton Road near to the junction with the A14.
The crash has caused lengthy tailbacks.
The motorists involved are not thought to have been seriously hurt.
