Motorists were warned of heavy traffic around Ipswich this morning after two crashes near the Orwell Bridge in the rush hour.
A tractor was stuck on the A14 westbound just before the bridge for around two-and-a-half hours after breaking down.
The tractor, which was pulling a trailer, reportedly stalled before breaking down in the inside lane near the Shell garage at 7.35am, police said.
Recovery services were on the scene shortly before 9.35am and the tractor had been removed from the carriageway at around 10am.
During the disruption, a Renault Van and a Ford Fiesta were involved in a crash eastbound just before the bridge at around 8am.
There were no injuries and both vehicles had been removed from the carriageway by 8.30am, police said.
Both incidents caused severe delays in the area this morning.
