One of the biggest successes for Felixstowe Academy on results day was the news that a pupil from the school would be going to the University of Oxford.

Victoria Walker will be the first student from the school to gain entry to the prestigious university.

Victoria’s achieved an A* in Maths and Further Maths as well as A grades in Physics and English Literature to help her achieve her goal.

“I felt really confident with my Maths exams but I am so pleased and surprised to have gained an A grade in English.

“That was a really pleasant surprise!

“I am really looking forward to starting university and seeing what it brings.”

Victoria’s results contributed to the record number of A* and A grades which were achieved by students at the academy this year.

Daryl James, who leads the sixth form said: “The results again reflect the huge efforts made by staff and students to achieve the very best.”
