DETECTIVES were last night questioning a man and a woman after an alleged robbery at an Essex bank.
Armed police swooped on Brightlingsea after it was reported that a man and woman had targeted a bank in the town’s High Street.
The alleged incident happened at just before 2pm yesterday.
Workers at the bank were allegedly threatened by a pair who claimed to have a gun although no weapon was seen.
The shocked staff handed over several hundred pounds before the pair fled.
