Chelmsford man arrested over imitation firearm

A 41-year-old man is being questioned after an imitation firearm and suspected drugs were found in a car.

The car was searched in Main Road in Broomfield on December 24.

A 41-year-old man from Chelmsford was arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply, possession of firearms offences and drug-driving.

A 44-year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

Both are currently in custody for questioning.
