TWO men been charged with a string of burglary offences following an investigation spanning eight counties.
Suffolk police have charged 18-year-old Thomas Gilheaney, originally from Cambridgeshire, with a burglary in Needham Market on October 6, last year, a burglary in Barrow on October 13 last year, a burglary in Norton on December 15 last year, a burglary in Bury St Edmunds on the same day and a burglary in Bramford on January 31 this year.
He has also been charged with burglaries in Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Staffordshire and Leicestershire. In addition, he has been charged with an attempted burglary in Claydon on January 31, and conspiracy to commit burglary in Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Staffordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk
A 17-year-old man from Loughborough, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been accused of burglary in Scole, Norfolk, on January 31, a burglary in Norwich on January 31, an attempted burglary in Claydon on January 31.
He has also been charged with burglaries in Staffordshire, Bedfordshire and Leicestershire and an attempted burglary in Bedfordshire.
He also faces charges of conspiracy to commit burglary in Leicestershire, Bedfordshire, Staffordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.
Both are due before Bury St Edmunds Magistrates on September 1.
