Two adults were injured after a car crash in Chelmsford.
The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to the incident in Widford Road at around 11.30am.
Two ambulance crews, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer attended, and treated a man with a suspected back injury and a woman with a facial injury.
Both were taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care, although there injuries were not believed to be serious.
Dave Weightman, duty locality officer for Chelmsford, said: “Thank you to the public for their patience as the road was closed in the southbound direction.
“I would also like to pass on my thanks and appreciation to the attending crews as they were working in unbearable temperatures and continued to provide excellent care to our patients.”
