Pakenham: Fire in roof tackled by crews

Fire crews tackled a chimney fire at an address in Thurston Road, Pakenham, tonight.
It broke out at around 7.30pm, and on arrival crews found there was a fire in the roof void. They stripped back part of the roof as they tried to extinguish the blaze.
A spokeswoman said the incident was brought under control by 8.30pm.
