PETERBOROUGH Speedway has resisted any increase in admission charges for 2010 with all admissions remaining at 2009 rates.

In addition the club has resurrected the Family Ticket although this is only applicable for 2 Adults and 2 Children, with no other variations.

With a view to helping families the free entry to children 11 and under will continue and the club is committed to ensuring children and juniors are welcome at Peterborough Speedway and are undertaking another program in the following months to support that view

Unfortunately they have been forced to move into line with the price of programmes elsewhere in the country and for 2010 the price will rise to 2.50.

2010 Season Tickets

The club have taken a long look at Season Ticket prices and have reduced the overall cost from 2009 prices with applicants given the option of paying by Credit/Debit card or over a three month period.

2010 Season Ticket holders will be entitled to admission to the opening challenge match, the closing meeting, all Elite League matches, all Elite League KO Cup matches, and subject to qualification the Play Offs including the Final.

This guarantees a minimum of 19 matches and of course Season Ticket holders are exempt from car park charges at the Showground.

Matches not covered by a Season Ticket include the special planned 40th Anniversary Meeting and any BSPA Shared event or FIM event that we stage.

In addition Season Ticket holders will be entitled on production of their card to a 10% reduction on their first purchase of Peterborough Panthers clothing & branded items from the Peterborough 2010 Track Shop.

The club have decided NOT to include a programme this year with Adult, Concession and Junior Season Tickets and this is reflected in the competitive prices which are lower than 2009 prices across the board and which offer considerable savings on normal admissions.

Peterborough Finance Director Julie Frost said: “We have spent a long time deciding on prices for next year and we are pleased to announce we are not increasing any admission prices in 2010. In addition, and as part of our aim to attract families and children, we have resurrected Family Tickets and have cut our prices across the board on Season Tickets especially the Junior ticket (12- 15yrs) which we have reduced to just 60. We hope this helps families because we acknowledge taking a family out for a night can be expensive.

Supporters should also be aware that due to anti VAT avoidance legislation, the 2.5% VAT increase due to take place on the 1st January 2010 applies to all Season Ticket sales regardless of the date they are purchased because the tickets are not valid until after the date of the increase. We have absorbed the 2.5% increase in VAT when calculating 2010 Season Ticket prices and have not raised Race Day Admission Prices for 2010”.
