TWO people were given oxygen therapy after breathing in smoke during a fire at a house near Elmswell.

The fire service was sent to The Horsehoes in Norton, near Elmswell, at 3.30pm today after reports that a fire had started in a kitchen.

The fire crews, one from Elmswell and one from Ixworth, used a water hose to douse the flames.

A spokeswoman for the East of England Ambulance Service said two patients were treated at the scene using oxygen after they breathed in smoke. Nobody was taken to hospital.
