Booking is now open for west Suffolk’s seventh annual Patient Revolution conference.

The event, which is organised by NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WSCCG), gives people an opportunity to have their voices heard on matters of health care and give input into the future planning of health services.

It will take place on Wednesday, July 18, at The Athenaeum, in Bury St Edmunds, from 1pm to 4pm.

The conference is open to people of all ages, their families and carers as well as representatives of community, voluntary and charitable organisations.

Information and feedback from previous events has been used by WSCCG to help deliver health services in west Suffolk through integrated working.

The event also provides an opportunity to meet CCG staff, other statutory and voluntary sector organisations, local GPs and like-minded people from the community.

Dr Christopher Browning, a GP in Long Melford and chairman of NHS West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “This event enables us to listen and engage with local people so we can work together to meet the challenges facing the NHS, and ensure west Suffolk people can continue to access the services they need in the future.

“Every year delivers some fantastic suggestions and ideas and highlights the real passion and pride people have for their NHS.

“The event is also an opportunity to celebrate the NHS’s 70th anniversary and highlight the good work happening across the west Suffolk health care landscape.”
