A pedestrian in his 40s who suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash in Haverhill last night has died.
The crash happened on the A1017 at Haverhill at around 11.15pm, involving a red Audi A3 and a pedestrian.
Emergency services, including ambulance paramedics, attended but a police spokesman confirmed the pedestrian had died at the scene.
Nobody else suffered any significant injuries, the spokesman added.
The road was closed until 3.40am while police carried out an investigation.
Officers are now keen to hear from anyone who saw the pedestrian or car prior to or at the time of the crash.
Anyone with information should contact investigating officers on 101, quoting CAD 431 of October 3.
