POLICE have today named the pedestrian who died following a crash in Newmarket.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Newmarket's High Street on June 26 at about 12.45am.
The 31-year-old pedestrian, Ian Petrie, of Scarlin Road, Bury St Edmunds, who collided with a lorry, was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge with serious injuries. He died of those injuries on Tuesday at hospital.
The male lorry driver was treated for shock at the scene of the collision.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or may have any further information to contact Pc Andrew Fossey at the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 01473 613500.
