A PEDESTRIAN struck by a car in a Suffolk village is fighting for life in hospital.
The accident happened in Stone Street, Polstead, near Sudbury, at 12.50pm today.
The pedestrian, who was in collision with a red Ford Focus between Stone Street and the Copella fruit farm, has been airlifted to hospital and police describe the victim's condition as serious and life threatening.
The car involved overturned and the scene is currently sealed off by the police, with diversions on the B1068 and Assington Lane.
