A PEDESTRIAN who died after being hit by a car in Chelmsford last night has now been named.Simon George, 46, of Fell Christy, Chelmsford, died after the accident, which took place at about 7.
A PEDESTRIAN who died after being hit by a car in Chelmsford last night has now been named.
Simon George, 46, of Fell Christy, Chelmsford, died after the accident, which took place at about 7.05pm last night on Chelmer Valley Road, Chelmsford.
The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman from Halstead, suffered only minor injuries and was taken to nearby Broomfield Hospital for treatment.
Officers closed the road while accident investigators worked at the scene and police have appealed for witnesses to the collision to get in touch.
