POLICE last night launched an appeal for witnesses after a male pedestrian was killed in a collision with a lorry.The accident happened on the northbound carriageway of the A12, just north of Stratford St Mary, at 11.
POLICE last night launched an appeal for witnesses after a male pedestrian was killed in a collision with a lorry.
The accident happened on the northbound carriageway of the A12, just north of Stratford St Mary, at 11.28pm.
It appears that the man was in the road when the HGV hit him. The road was closed after the accident, and was expected to be shut for some time while an accident investigation was launched.
The male driver of the lorry was taken to hospital suffering from shock.
Anyone who saw the accident, or spotted the pedestrian before the crash, should call Suffolk police on 01473 613500.
