COASTGUARDS rescued an 80-year-old man who had broken his hip while on a floating pontoon in Ipswich.
COASTGUARDS rescued an 80-year-old man who had broken his hip while on a floating pontoon in Ipswich.
The Harwich-based inshore lifeboat was called by an ambulance crew at around 4pm yesterday to Stoke Bridge and used a specialist stretcher to carry the man on to the boat.
The lifeboat took him to an ambulance at Orwell Yacht Club and he was taken to hospital.
