Peterborough: A man has died after a double stabbing in Peterborough

ONE man has died and another seriously injured in a double stabbing in Peterborough today.

East of England Ambulance Service crews were called to an address in Gilpin Street at 7.14am to reports that two men, one in his 20s, had been stabbed.

Ambulance crews worked alongside the East of England Air Ambulance team but one man was declared dead at the scene.

The other was taken by land ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital, escorted by the air ambulance.

An ambulance service spokeswoman said: “Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident. Our crews worked extremely well with other emergency services on scene in an extremely difficult situation and the Trust thanks them for their sterling efforts.”
