A ROAD was completely blocked this afternoon after a petrol spillage when two vehicles crashed.
Traffic was unable to move through the B1078 at Great Bricett, just off Wattisham Airfield, for 40 minutes following the collision.
Police officers were sent out to deal with the incident after a Volkswagon Van and a Ford Fiesta Car hit into each other at 2.20pm.
Two fire engines were tasked to mop up the road and an ambulance was called but it was later discovered two people had only suffered minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.
The vehicles were made safe by the fire service and police reopened the road at just before 3pm.
