Two junctions on the A12 near Kelvedon in Essex will be closed for three nights this week as bridge repair works continue.

From Monday, July 24, the northbound carriageway will be closed between 8pm and 6am the following morning for three nights, between junction 23 for Kelvedon south and junction 24 for Kelvedon north.

The work is for work to continue on repairing the Ewell Bridge.

From Thursday, July 27, the southbound carriageway between the two junctions will be closed for two night, again between 8pm and 6am.

A spokesman from Highways England said that a clearly signposted diversion would be in use via the B1024 in Kelvedon.

Elsewhere along the A12, a lane closure will be in operation on the northbound carriageway between junctions 19 and 23 while surveys take place.

The lane closure will begin on Monday for five nights, again taking place from 8pm through to 6am.

On Wednesday, July 26, the slip road on the northbound exit of the A12 at junction 25 (Marks Tey) will be closed for two nights while street lighting is replaced.

A diversion will be set up via junction 26.

From Monday, five nights of overnight lane closures will be in place on the A14 and A142 to Felixstowe for repairs to the barriers and road surface.

Cutting of grass verges will also be carried out while the lane closures are in place, which will be between 7pm and 4am.
