Their only potential rivals Birmingham suffered a surprise 49-41 home defeat against an Aaron Summers-inspired Edinburgh to remain eight points adrift of the leaders with just two away meetings to go, at Glasgow and Lynn.

Their only potential rivals Birmingham suffered a surprise 49-41 home defeat against an Aaron Summers-inspired Edinburgh to remain eight points adrift of the leaders with just two away meetings to go, at Glasgow and Lynn.
It means Rob Lyon's team now just need to take a point from Saturday's trip to Workington to wrap up the silverware.
A defeat by six points or less would suffice for the Stars, although they will doubtless want to win the title in style by returning from Cumbria with a win.
