The police and crime commissioner for Essex will be holding a public meeting in Halstead next month.

Roger Hirst has invited those living and working in the town to share any concerns they have about policing and crime in Halstead.

The event will be held on September 7 and starts at 6.30pm at Queens Hall, in Chipping Hill.

The meeting is open to everyone and will also welcome deputy police and crime commissioner, Jaen Gardner, chief inspector Craig Carrington, and community and safety partnership chairman Andy Wright.

Essex Police says it will make details of current crime trends and ongoing operations available before the meeting, and that anyone going along will be able to put questions to the panel.

The meeting is expected to finish at 8pm.
