Police appeal after fatal A12 crash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on the A12 left one person dead and six others injured.

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a road traffic collision on the A12 left one person dead and six others injured.

The incident happened at about 7pm on Saturday on the A12 near to Hopton, Norfolk, when a silver BMW Coupe, travelling north, was in collision with a blue Ford Escort, travelling south.

A man suffered fatal injuries and six others were injured and received hospital treatment.

Fire and ambulance service crews attended the scene and diversions were in place for several hours.

Anyone who saw what happened, who can provide information regarding the manner of driving of the two vehicles prior to the collision, or can provide any information that can assist the investigation, have been asked to contact Sergeant Paul Sturman of the road policing department at Acle police station on 0845 4564567.
