IPSWICH: Police are appealing for help after a spate of purse snatchings in the town.
A 62-year-old shopper had her purse stolen from a black cloth handbag in Westgate Street between 1.55pm and 2.10pm on Wednesday.
The theft took place between the Perfume Shop and the Card Factory.
An 83-year-old woman had a red purse stolen from her handbag when she was shopping in Wilkinsons in Upper Brook Street between 2.40pm and 2.50pm on the same day.
The thieves struck again when an 87-year-old also lost a beige purse from her handbag when she was walking between the Card Factory and the MIND shop in Westgate Street, between 2.45pm and 3pm, also on Wednesday.
