A woman in her 90s is believed to have been followed to her Clacton home where she was robbed.

She was left with a small cut to her left hand in the struggle at her front door between 6.45pm and 7pm on the evening of Tuesday, October 16.

The man stole her purse out of her hand and ran off in the direction of Coppins Road.

The victim had just been to the Premier Convenience store and it is believed she was followed on her way back to her house.

As the woman opened her front door, a man appeared and tried to push the door open.

A small amount of change and her bank card were among the items stolen.

Her bus pass and a photograph were also in the purse and these were found a short while later in Melbourne Road.

The suspect is described as white and was wearing trainers, a baseball cap and a light coloured tracksuit. All his clothing was lightly coloured.
