POLICE are appealing for information after a 60-year-old woman was robbed on the seafront at Felixstowe yesterday.

The woman was walking along the Sea Road promenade, opposite Holland Road, at about 4.30pm-4.45pm, when she became aware of someone behind her and felt a tap on her shoulder.

She looked around and was pushed by one of two men who took a wallet from her pocket.

The woman shouted out and the men removed the cash before throwing the wallet back at her. Both men then ran off along the promenade.

The woman bent down to pick up the items and a member of the public then came to her aid. It's thought she didn't mention the robbery but police need to trace this person and are asking them to come forward.

Officers also need to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time and anyone who may have information about the offenders.

The men are described as white, around 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall, wearing dark clothing, with hoods up and scarves partially over their faces.

If you can help please call Felixstowe CID on 01473 613500.
