Police appeal for information after man was sprayed with unknown liquid in Jaywick

A man in his 30s was walking in Union Road behind The Three Jays pub at around 7pm on March 26 when a vehicle approached him.

Occupants in the car, a black Vauxhall Corsa, then sprayed a noxious substance from the front passenger window.

The man reported experiencing burns to the chest and thigh.

The victim described seeing up to four people in the car, which then drove towards the Frobisher Drive area.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who spotted a suspicious vehicle at the time of incident or anyone who has dash cam footage between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
