Police appeal for witnesses after Vauxhall Astra crash in Colchester

Police are appealing for witnesses after an accident in Colchester on Saturday.

A blue Vauxhall Astra was reported to have collided with three parked vehicles, before hitting another car head on.

The incident happened in Old Heath Road at around 11.45pm, and the driver and occupants of the Astra – reported to have been three young men wearing hooded tops – all left the scene.

Officers would like to trace them to speak to them about the incident and are encouraging anyone with information to get in touch.

One man received minor injuries during the collision and was treated in hospital. No-one else hurt in the incident.

Old Heath Road is located on the south-east side of Colchester, near to the University of Essex’s Wivenhoe Park campus.
