POLICE are appealing for information following two accosting incidents in a Suffolk town.

A man approached a 12-year-old girl as she walked along Terry Gardens on Grange Farm in Kesgrave, Ipswich. The incident happened between 8.30am and 8.45am on Tuesday February 10.

The girl was walking along when a silver Citroen Picasso pulled alongside her and the driver offered her a lift. The girl refused to get into the vehicle and ran away.

The man is described as being black and around 6ft tall. He is also described as being in his early 30s, of slim build and was clean-shaven. He was wearing grey suit trousers, black zipped top and brown slip-on mules. The man also wore a black, Kangol-style trilby hat with white stripe.

Police are also looking for information after a man was seen watching children play in Kesgrave at about 5.40pm on Tuesday February 17. The children were in the playground by the Farmhouse public house when they noticed a man crouched down behind a bush watching them. The children left the park and the man briefly followed them before getting into a silver Ford Galaxy people carrier and driving away.
