Burglars forced their way into a property in Felixstowe Road, Ipswich via a skylight and ransacked the home, say police.

A quantity of collectable coins, cash, jewellery and a large safe containing personal documents of sentimental value, were stolen during the burglary, which happened between 9am on September 17 and 8.30pm on September 24.

At some point during the week the burglars smashed the skylight and broke into the house.

They then proceeded to undertake an untidy search before making off with their haul.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the safe or who may have heard or seen anything over the course of the week.

Anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity or who has any information about the crime is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference 55110/18.

Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their anonymous online form.
