Three people have been arrested and one charged following a spate of burglaries in West Suffolk.

A 42-year-old man was arrested in connection with five burglaries in the Mildenhall area between Saturday, July 14, and Thursday, July 19, at addresses in Macpherson Robertson Way, Queensway, Jim Mollison Court, Hammer Avenue and Miles Hawk Way.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police investigation Centre for questioning and was later released under investigation.

A 28-year-old woman was also arrested in connection to a series of burglaries between Thursday ,June 28, and Wednesday, July 11, at properties in Langham, Badwell Ash and Westhorpe.

She has been released on police bail and must return on Monday, August 20.

A 36-year-man was also arrested in connection with the spate in Langham but has since been released under investigation.

Anthony Vittles, 44, of Peterhouse Close, Mildenhall, was also arrested in connection with a burglary that took place in Eriswell Drive in Lakenheath on Friday, May 25.

Vittles has subsequently been charged with burglary and for possession of a Class A drug.

He was bailed to court and must return on Tuesday, August 18.
