Police believe the number plates of an Audi TT stolen in Witham have been changed to those from another stolen car.

The black Audi TT RS Quattro was taken after intruders broke into an address in Harebell Drive at about 10.20am on Tuesday, March 17.

It was then seen about 35 minutes later being driven along the A130 and on to Runwell Road towards Wickford.

The car, index number LB10 BZK, is now believed to be bearing index EF08 UYH, which belongs to another black Audi TT that was stolen in Leicestershire on March 30.

Three men from Cressing have been charged in connection with the Witham burglary and have appeared at court.

Anyone who has seen the Audi, or anyone with information about the whereabouts of the car, is asked to contact DS Cadd or his colleagues at Braintree CID on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 or www.crimestoppers-uk.org
