Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was attacked in her car driving through Ipswich last night.

The incident occured at around 11.25pm on Monday, March 26 on Holywells Road.

The victim was slowing down to pass a stationary vehicle when four or five men approached her car and smashed the driver’s window, covering her in broken glass.

The wing mirror was also damaged and the bodywork dented.

The men then shouted at the woman before she drove off.

It is reported that the men fled down Landseer Road.

The suspects are described as white and in their twenties, and were wearing dark suits at the time of the attack.

Suffolk police say although the woman was not injured, she was very badly shaken up as a result of the incident.
