Police called to catch dog

Police were sent on a wild dog chase after an errant hound ran amok across two busy roads.

Officers were called to the Wherstead area to apprehend a four-legged escapee reported running across the A14 and the A137.

They tried to lure it with dog biscuits but failed.

While the canine has yet to be captured, police have now called off the search for the dog as it’s now heading away from the A14 and was last seen going towards Jimmy’s Farm.
