Two large groups of men fought each other outside a railway station in the early hours with some armed with weapons, police have said,

Officers were called to the station in Katwijk Way, Lowestoft, at around 3.30am.

Two men were taken to the James Paget Hospital after sustaining injuries as a result of the fight.

One of the men has since been discharged, but the other remains in hospital under observation having sustained head injuries.

Police would like to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any information.
