EMERGENCY services attended a suspected assault in Sudbury today.
Police and paramedics responded to reports from a member of the public of a man lying in a pool of blood behind the Pizza Town pizzeria in Old Market Place, East Street.
Officers arrived shortly after 5.30pm to find a 50-year-old man suffering from head injuries.
He was taken by ambulance to the West Suffolk Hospital.
Police could not confirm whether the man had been assaulted.
A Pizza Town staff member declined to comment but said the incident was a “private family matter.”
