Police are continuing to appeal for help to trace a missing 81-year-old Lowestoft man Gerard Keen.

Mr Keen was last seen at his home address in Conrad Road around 11.45am on Wednesday and has not been seen since. He had gone one of his regular short walks but failed to return home as usual.

Over the past few days police in the town have been continuing searches to locate him but no trace of him has been found. A number of other agencies have assisted including the coastguard, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service and Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue.

Officers have also been going house to house and distributing a leaflet urging residents to check sheds, gardens and any other outbuildings in a bid to get any information that may locate Mr Keen.

He is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall with white hair. He is clean shaven and was wearing a black jacket, dark trousers and possibly a tweed cap.

Officers are very concerned for his welfare and are asking for anyone who has seen Mr Keen or has any information about his whereabouts to contact Suffolk Police by dialling 101.
