POLICE are today releasing an e-fit of a man they want to trace in relation to a bogus caller incident in Kesgrave.

At around 4.45pm on Saturday, January 10, a man knocked on the door of a house in Edmonton Road and said he had fallen over and asked the resident to take a look. The 58-year-old owner in the property left his home, leaving his door open and went with the man. As this was happening a neighbour noticed a second man go into the resident's home and shouted to him to warn him.

The first man then ran to a very dirty white van - described as smaller than a Transit but larger than an Escort van - and drove off towards the A1214. The second culprit was also seen fleeing from the property.

The resident returned to his home and discovered his brown leather wallet, containing cash and cards, had been stolen.

Police are now issuing an e-fit of a man they need to speak to in connection with the incident. He is described as white, in his mid 20s to early 30s, around 5ft 10ins, with very dark hair, and was wearing a dark coat and trousers at the time.

Anyone with information about who he is, or who may have any information about the burglary or the van, is asked to call Woodbridge CID on 01986 835300.
