AN ACCIDENT in Ipswich in which a pedestrian was injured is being treated as a hit and run, police confirmed today.
Emergency services were called to an Ipswich street today after an accident involving a car and a pedestrian.
The accident happened at about 9.30am in Hawes Street.
A police spokeswoman said a pedestrian suffered minor injuries after colliding with a vehicle.
The driver of the car involved failed to stop and is now being sought by police.
A description of the suspect vehicle is yet to be released.
The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.
